Placement timeline for 2024
- January 17: Statement of Intent due at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 9pm CET
- February 21: Placed Camp Questionnaire opens in Burner Profiles for all camps
- February 21: Stewards Sale ticket allocations sent to theme camps
- March 1-8: Stewards Sale allocation system open for returning theme camps
- March 16: 2024 Camp Symposium
- March 28: Placed Camp Questionnaire for all theme camps and all support camps in a hub due at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 9pm CET
- April 18: Placed Camp Questionnaire for all support camps not in a hub due at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 9pm CET
- March and April: Placement team reviews each questionnaire
- Early May: Camp Listings are live on Burningman.org
- May: Placement team creates the map of Black Rock City
- Mid-May: Placement announces theme camps selected for placement
- June: Placement announces approximate locations and addresses of placed camps
- June: Tickets allocated to new theme camps
- July: Placement team announces neighboring camps
- July: Work Access Pass numbers are finalized
- Early August: Work Access Passes emailed to placed theme camps
- August 19: Placement begins on playa; camps arrive according to their WAP arrival date
